Seabrook Secrets with a Creamy Peach Smoothie

It has been so nice outside lately! Not too warm, not too cool but just right! So we must take advantage before it gets scorching hot. We stumbled upon these really great trails over off Toddville Road in Seabrook which is on the other side of the Kemah bridge. (Opposite side of the Kemah Boardwalk). On the North side of Toddville Road the trails go through a wooded area. All you hear is the wind breezing through the leaves and the sound of your footsteps. Very tranquil. Once the trail crosses over Toddville Rd on the South side, the trails break out into a beach area. It kind of makes your draw drop when you first see it since its hidden and quite spectacular.

The trails are pretty long so we brought along Smoothies to quench our thirst. A friend sent me this recipe explaining it tasted like a Peach Bellini which of course got my quick attention. We like our smoothies pretty creamy so I altered to add more of the "good stuff".

Creamy Peach Smoothie
  • Bag of frozen sliced peaches
  • 2 container French Vanilla yogurt
  • Splash of orange juice
  • 2 Tbs honey
  1.  Put all ingredients in a blender. I use a Magic Bullet blender which has proportioned cups for each person. If you use the Bullet blender it will make 2 of the cups which means you can make one for you and a friend or save one for later. In each cup you will put half the bag of peaches, 1 container yogurt, splash of OJ and 1 Tbs honey. Basically split the recipe.
  2. Blend till smooth and frothy.
Optional: If you want it thicker add some Cool whip. If you are out for a good time add some Rum or Vanilla Vodka.
Yields: 2

This could have used a dollop of Cool Whip. Let me know what you think of this smoothie..
